Why It Matters

Best massage tool Austin has found. The Raptor predates the mainstream massage gun craze (Theragun, Hypervolt) and is a more serious medical-grade instrument. The 100W Maxon motor and 25 lbs max force put it in a different class than consumer percussion guns.

Since it's discontinued, replacement or repair means sourcing from secondary markets. Worth noting for future reference if it breaks.

Key Ideas

  • Designed for: increasing range of motion, breaking up scar tissue, myofascial release
  • Used before AND after activity (not just recovery)
  • Professional-grade — the motor and force specs are well above consumer massage guns
  • The 6 adjustable levels matter — different muscle groups need different intensity
  • Discontinued but functionally superior to many current options
